Membership

Here is some information we believe will be invaluable in setting you on your way to becoming a contributing member of HRF NHW.

The most important thing to remember is that as an HRF NHW member you are the “eyes and ears” of SAPS and the Security Service Providers (SSPs) in Hunters Home, Rexford and Fisherhaven.

Whether you are going about your daily activities or doing specific patrols around your neighbourhood, if you see any people behaving in a suspicious manner or spot any suspicious vehicles, call this in to the Allsound Control Room on 044 382 5589.

Allsound is our preferred security partner and its control room is manned 24 hours 365 days.

HRF Crimewatch Membership

In 2017 the HRF NHW Committee decided to install cameras in our area. Initial funding for the cameras was from the Knysna Municipality Ward 9 Budget with Amble Ridge Retirement Estate sponsoring one of the initial 5 cameras.  The monitoring of these cameras had to be paid for by HRF NHW. At that time we had only a limited income from volunteers so it was decided to formalize an income stream by creating the HRF Crimewatch Membership. Household Members contribute a fixed amount annually to fund camera monitoring by Allsound Security, camera maintenance and repair and future replacement and expansion of our 16 camera system.
